Mystic Mist was one of the most interesting books I’ve read in a long time!!! When I began reading it, I found myself engaged and literally, I could not put it down. The mist is an important aspect of the story, and what it does to those caught in its “grip”. As we are introduced to each character, good or evil, Lisa brings them to life….they are so real in our minds. It took real talent to create the mystical world of Carasylia…as the reader you could easily visualize it in your mind.This book will keep you engaged as you read how the main characters of Erich and Iseabail battle the Hellavey….deadly vampire-like creatures who are brought to earth in the Mystic Mist, when Iseabail is transported from the planet of Carasylia to Earth. You will be quite intrigued by the Mystic Mist as you travel from Earth to Carasylia, and back again. I really enjoyed this first installment and highly recommend it. I can’t wait to read the next one…should be really exciting!!! Great job Miss Lisa!!

It was a little slow at first, but picked up quickly. I loved the integration of worlds. The characters were great! The writing was excellent. I can't wait for the second book to come out.
I am not one to give too much away when writing a review. I will say that I enjoyed The Mystic Mist and I hope author Lisa Vandiver continues with this series. I liked the main character Erich Keenton and rooted for him throughout the novel. The worlds created by Lisa were interesting and peppered with all sorts of characters, some wonderful and some terrifying. As the series unfolds I hope to have answers to the questions raised in this novel.
I don’t like to give too much away when writing a review but I am honest when I say this There are not many paranormal stories that I don’t like. However, Mystic Mist is one of the very few that I absolutely love. The plot and characters are well developed and brought to life, and all the senses (see, feel, smell, touch,) are vividly present throughout the mystical world of Carasylia as if wanting to make you part of it.
This book will draw you in from its very first page, and keep you at the edge of your seat to the end.
Mystic Mist is an exciting opening to the New Breed Series, and from the very beginning, you will find yourself drawn into the story as it unfolds. As each character is introduced, Lisa Vandiver brings them to life by making them real in the mind of the reader. Her talent for creating the mystical world of Carasylia, as well as the Realm of the Enchantments, allows the reader to see it in their mind and makes this story a pure joy to read.
This book will keep you turning the pages as Erich and Iseabail battle the Hellavey, the deadly creatures brought to earth in the Mystic Mist along with Iseabail from the planet of Carasylia. As the story progresses, you will be thrust into an exciting adventure of which you will not want to escape. I highly recommend this first installment to the New Breed Series, and I cannot wait until Book Two is released!
Vandiver has given us the next great series that could rival Twilight and harry Potter. Her writing leaves you with wanting more like Oliver asking for more soup. The Mystic Myst knows no good or evil for it just moves picking up and dropping off whom gets into its path. Look out Dorothy there’s a new twister in town and it’s called The Mystic Myst.
Lisa Vandiver has created a true masterpiece with Mystic Myst, it has adventure, paranormal, suspense, romance, and syfy. She grabs you from the beginning and you won’t be able to put it down until the end. Mystic Myst takes you on a ride between worlds and periods, from medieval and knights to modern day. Her characters are crisp and endearing, from the Erich to Princess Iseabail to the creatures she reinvented. The Hellavey and Li’wf’cre creatures will memorize you with their fighting skill and brute force as will the whole story. When you sit down to read Mystic Myst put on a safety belt and enjoy the ride.
